Club HALL opened its doors in 2017 in a former shipyard workers’ clubhouse, becoming a centre for electronic music in Estonia and the Baltics.
Over the years, HALL has created a future and a vision for many Estonian and international artists, supporting them in their journeys and forming collaborations on both local and international levels, including with acclaimed clubs such as Bassiani, Tresor, and Closer. HALL and its summer garden, Suvila, have become a home to many, creating a space to form a common identity and promote non-formal education through shared experiences.
After eight years, in 2025, HALL paused its weekly programming due to the financial struggles faced by nightlife worldwide. However, HALL was born from the timeless vision and lifelong mission of its founders. This mission is still strong and for example, beats through a three-day festival, Dark Side of the Moon, which celebrates its 8th edition this year.
As tradition, every DSOM festival launches with a pre-party, Liftoff, which took place at the local community radio IDA this past weekend. Here, you can listen to the recorded set of Shah Rud.
Shah Rud is a Kurdish artist based in Tallinn. Founder of Hungr and Shelter, his sound blends global club mutations with deep political and cultural currents. Whether it's shaabi, gqom, or deconstructed electronics and whatever else breaks boundaries and moves bodies.
At the heart of it all, Shah Rud is crafting spaces where music becomes a language for connection, culture, and radical joy.
IDA is an online radio based in Tallinn and Helsinki.
